Young Families at First United Methodist Church

Are you looking for a place to meet other parents, share experiences about raising kids, serve others, make new friends, and have a little fun?  Young Families is the group for you!

Am I a “Young Family”? 

The group consists of parents of all ages – couples and single parents, members and non-members of the church - that have one or more children newborn through high school age.

When do you meet? 

Young Families meet the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of every month from 5:30 - 7:30 pm at the church.

What do you do?

From 5:30-6:15 we have a “family-style” meal where the kids and adults eat together in the Fellowship Hall.  The meal is free and provided by the church. 

From 6:15-7:30 the kids go to the nursery where they are divided by age and participate in age appropriate activities under the loving care of our nursery staff.  The nursery is also free and provided by the church.

The adults participate in a variety of activities during this time away from the kids.  Activities include lessons, guest speakers, social activities, and mission projects.

What should we do if we want to come to a Young Families meeting?

We would love for you to join us at our next meeting!  Contact Elizabeth Fairfield at 281-342-3333 or elizabeth@fumcrosenberg.net to be added to the Young Families email list.  Before each meeting, an email is sent out giving you all the information you need.  We ask each family to RSVP before each meeting so that we can prepareenough food and have the correct number of nursery staff.
