WorshipThe custom at FUMC Rosenberg is to celebrate the sacrament of Holy Communion during both services on the first Sunday of each month. Holy Communion is open to everyone, regardless of your membership status. Everyone is welcome at the table of the Lord.
Likewise, the sacrament of Holy Baptism is celebrated during either of the two worship services. Arrangements for baptism (infant, child, or adult) should be made by contacting the pastor at the church office (281.342.3333).
Weddings, while not considered a sacrament in the United Methodist Church, are still vitally important worship services at FUMC. To arrange your wedding either at our church or with our pastor, call the church office (281.342.3333).
We also celebrate special worship services such as Ash Wednesday (the beginning of the Lenten season), Holy Thursday (the Thursday before Easter), Easter Sunrise Service, the Hanging of the Greens service (the beginning of the Advent Season), and the Christmas Eve Candlelight Service.
Attending a church for the first time can be a nervous experience. What will service be like? What should I wear? Where do I park?

Sunday:
On Sundays, we have services at 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Our worship style at the 8:30 service is in the praise and celebration tradition - you're welcome to clap your hands and respond during the worship service. Our 11:00 service is more structured, with a choir and printed readings and responses in the bulletins. Our services includes hymn singing, prayer, praise and a message.
Our services typically last about one hour.
A few members wear a suit or dress (a personal preference) and a some of our members wear jeans and a shirt. You are welcome to come as you are.
At FUMC Rosenberg, we celebrate our opportunities to give of our time, talent and tithe. However, giving is never compulsory. As a visitor, if you feel led to contribute to the offering, feel free to do so. If not, please do not feel any guilt.
Of course! Families of all ages and sizes attend.
We celebrate Holy Communion on the first Sunday of every month. We do so to commemorate Christ's final meal with the disciples and to celebrate his resurrection. In the United Methodist Church, communion is open to everyone, regardless of denominational affiliation, church membership or belief. All are welcome to experience the gift of grace offered to us through Jesus Christ.
Who goes to FUMC Rosenberg? We are a diverse congregation with members of all ages and walks of life.
Feel free to speak to our pastor after service or contact the church office for more information about upcoming events and opportunities to chat with others outside of the service times.
